An Artist friend kindly motivated me to create a photo exhibition with the theme of ”Utopia”.

A utopia means different things to different people, I have interpreted utopia to be a dream like state, a fantasy, a perfect world where we are free to exist as we wish in a beautiful environment. 

For me Sweden comes very close to providing a utopia, especially with it’s freedom and beauty. With my photos I want to show the value of freedom, the importance of nature and how it can greatly impact our emotions. 

So as a photographer I wanted to create images that have a great sense of freedom and pure joy. Such pleasures can be experienced in the idyllic surroundings found within Stockholm’s archipelago, providing a combination of beauty and freedom. 

Undisturbed in a remote peaceful locations, a person is free to relax and be as one within nature’s beauty. During the summer months with warmth and long hours of daylight clothing is no longer required, so being naked or semi naked feels very natural.

These photographs have been digitally created by combining landscapes from Stockholm’s archipelago and the wonderful statues found within Stockholm’s National Museum.
